Navajeevana - Tangalle |
Founded in 1987, Navajeevana provides total community based rehabilitation services including special preschool education, paediatric physiotherapy, audio and speech therapy, eye care services etc. It also has a Prosthetic and Orthotic Unit as well.
The centre also has several projects such as the Navajeevana Development Alternative where up to 300 accessible houses will be built or repaired in tsunami affected areas in Tangalle and the Enterprise Development project for disabled people to start their own small scale business.
It’s aim is to promote equality and participation of Persons with Disabilities through awareness raising, rehabilitation and prevention.
